Case study · Stone Town · Heritage restoration & F&B

A protected heritage building in the Stone Town World Heritage Site — fire-blackened and derelict as found — restored under STCDA consent into a five-star boutique hotel of 14 suites at 21–36 sqm. Both F&B outlets, Breadfruit Restaurant & Café and Views Rooftop Bar, were created and are run by our team. The outcome is independently checkable today: listed in the MICHELIN Guide hotel selection, a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award 2026 — the top 10% worldwide — and published nightly rates of USD 360–721. The restoration and its F&B have been covered by VISI and House & Garden.
